Hiroshi Ito
Associate professor

Hiroshi received his MD from Kyoto University, and his PhD in Biology from Caltech under the supervision of Prof. Erin Schuman. He then conducted his postdoctoral research in the lab of Profs. Edvard and May-Britt Moser in Norway. In 2016, he established his independent research group at the Max Planck Institute for Brain Research in Germany, supported by several funding sources including ERC Starting (2016) and Consolidator (2022) grants. In April 2025, he joined the DNF as an Associate Professor.
