Violina Dorogan
PhD student

Violina completed her B.Sc. in Life Sciences at Aix-Marseille University and her first year of M.Sc. studies in Integrative Biology and Physiology at Sorbonne University. For her second year, she enrolled in the “International Master in Neurodegenerative Diseases” program offered by Sorbonne University in collaboration with the Paris Brain Institute. During her M.Sc. thesis, she investigated the role of TSPO in neuroinflammation in Alzheimer’s Disease in Philippe Millet’s lab at the University of Geneva. She has now joined the Nikoletopoulou lab as a PhD student, where she will study the role of autophagy in intercellular communication in the mammalian brain.
