Giuseppe Aiello, Postdoc
Post-doctoral fellow
Giuseppe obtained his PhD in Biomolecular Sciences at the University of Trento (Italy). During his PhD, he focused on studying cellular and molecular mechanisms at the origin of brain tumors affecting the cerebellum using transgenic mouse models. In addition, he investigated how the modulation of the mTOR pathway early in life can determine long-term effects on lifespan of mammals and Drosophila melanogaster. After graduating, he used human cerebellar organoid models to identify driver mutations responsible for tumor heterogeneity.
He joined the team of Prof. Bagni in 2022 to investigate synaptic dysfunction in ASD using patient-derived human brain organoids.
