Unil Sleep Research Day 2025

On April 4, 2025, the UNIL Sleep Research Day brought together 64 researchers, including 26 PhD students from the LNDS doctoral program, for a full day of discussion and discovery in the field of sleep science.

Thanks to the generous support from the Fonds Rub of the University of Lausanne, the event featured a dynamic mix of keynote lectures, short talks from young researchers, and lively exchanges during poster and networking sessions.

Among the highlights was the presence of Karine Crousaz, a historian from the University of Lausanne, who offered a captivating talk on the history of sleep and health in the Middle Ages and early modern period—an interdisciplinary contribution that resonated strongly with the audience.

The scientific program included three invited guest speakers and eleven early-career speakers, with a speaker gender balance of 57% women.
