Maria is awarded with a Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellowship co-funded by the Leading House ETH Zürich

The Leading House ETH Zürich and the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) jointly fund the exchange of young scientists between Japan and Switzerland for 3 to 6 months research stays in the partner country. Maria’s host laboratory of Prof. Dr. Marco Terenzio at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology will support her research focussing on local mRNA translation in axons and synapses.
