Florian-Alexandru Deftu
Post-doctoral fellow

Alex Deftu joined the lab of the Pain Center of the CHUV in 2019. He holds a PhD from the University of University of Bucharest, Romania. He studied with Prof. Violeta Ritsou neuromodulatory effects of inflammation on neurons and glia and has a strong background in electrophysiology and calcium imaging. He is investigating here the influence of glial cells on neuronal excitability in neuropathic pain.
