Antonio Nussbaum
PhD student

Antonio graduated from the University of Poitiers with a Bachelor's degree in animal physiology & neuroscience and later pursued a Master's in Neuroscience at the University Claude Bernard Lyon 1. As part of his training, he participated in Prof. Davide Ragozzino's research in Rome, focusing on understanding microglial modifications under gut-brain axis dysregulation and inflammatory processes. In 2025, he joined Claudia Kathe's lab to complete his MSc thesis, aiming to unravel the mechanisms underlying spasticity and sensorimotor deficits following spinal cord injury.
