Magdalena Kocia
PhD student

Magdalena obtained her BSc in Microbiology, and her MSc in Medical Biophysics & Bioinformatics from the University of Lodz. During her BSc she focused on new drugs targeting multi-drug resistant strains of Mycobacterium tuberculosis. And in her MSc she characterised distinct mechanisms of apoptosis induced by bisphenol A and analogues in human peripheral blood mononuclear cells. Magdalena joined the Neukomm lab as a PhD student, and she aims to gain insights into mechanisms underlying neurodegeneration induced by NAD+ depletion in Drosophila.
