I trained as a synaptic physiologist and am interested in linking synaptic plasticity and learned behaviors. I obtained a PhD from the University of Geneva, studying plasticity of slow inhibition in the midbrain in Christian Luscher's laboratory. Then I joined Anatol Kreitzer's team at the Gladstone Institute, UCSF, where I investigated basal ganglia circuits for locomotion and reinforcement learning. I recently arrived in the Mameli lab, where I am exploring the role of neuromodulators in limbic circuits.
