Léo Michel
Post-doctoral fellow

Léo Michel obtained a Master in Marine Biology at Sorbonne University, Paris, France. He then joined the laboratory of Sylvie Mazan as a PhD student and investigated the evolution of habenular organization in jawed vertebrates. During this period, Léo performed a systematic comparative analysis in habenula of cartilaginous fishes, bony fishes and tetrapod as well as an habenular genome-wide and spatially resolved analysis on the catshark by RNA tomography approach. In the Mameli lab he will study the role of lateral habenula neuronal and non-neuronal cells dynamics on adaptive behaviors.
