Zilan Susun
PhD student

Zilan obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Neuchâtel and her Master’s degree in Medical Biology from the University of Lausanne, where her Master’s thesis focused on how external stressors modify neuronal activity in the Grueneberg Ganglion of mice. She has recently started her PhD in the Puyal’s laboratory, where she will be investigating the mechanisms of autophagy-dependent neuronal cell death in perinatal hypoxic–ischemic brain injury.
