                  After obtaining her PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Milan, Paola carried out postdoctoral research at the University of Lausanne on the cellular and molecular mechanisms regulating astrocyte-to-neuron interactions. Since 2008 she is a PI at the DNF and is studying the role of glial cells, in particular astrocytes, in the pathophysiology of neurodevelopmental disorders.
