Aurélie Stephan
Post-doctoral fellow

Aurélie holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in Biology and Neuroscience from the University of Strasbourg, France. She earned her Ph.D. in Neuroscience at the Lemanic Neuroscience Doctoral School, conducting research on movement disorders at the Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV). During her time at CHUV, Aurélie developed a keen interest in sleep research, inspired by the work of Dr. Francesca Siclari. She subsequently joined Dr. Siclari’s lab as a postdoctoral researcher, where she focused on sleep misperception in paradoxical insomnia and investigated EEG markers of arousal in both normal sleep and sleep disorders. In November 2024, Aurélie joined the Lüthi Lab as a postdoctoral researcher, where she is further exploring the activity of the arousal system during sleep in mice.
